The REACH Healthcare Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to improving health coverage and access to affordable healthcare for uninsured and medically underserved communities in a six-county service area in Kansas and Missouri.
Shaped by nearly a year of listening to partners and communities across the region, REACH’s 2027-2029 strategic direction continues the work communities have affirmed remains essential — strengthening the safety net, closing the health equity gap and bridging the coverage divide.

Everyone who calls our region home deserves access to health and care. Two federal policy changes are now putting that out of reach for many immigrant families. H.R. 1 has cut off Medicaid and marketplace coverage for many refugees, asylees and other legally present immigrants, including more than 3,300 Kansans. A broader public charge rule is leading families to avoid programs they still qualify for, such as a citizen child’s CHIP, out of fear.
