Support to increase access to mental health services for students at Wyandotte High School through the use of an Engagement Specialist.
This project will provide funds to support the creation of a new part-time position supporting Healthy Communities Wyandotte. The part-time communications strategist will create and begin implementing a strategic communications plan to coordinate HCW’s efforts to improve the county’s poor health rankings. The Communications Strategist will oversee this process, guiding HCW’s Communications Action Team to create a plan that will provide direction for HCW communications.
Support for care coordination services that aim to improve the mental, physical, and oral health of homeless families and individuals, and to help them obtain and use benefits.
Support to build a culture of health through the implementation of projects designed to educate nurses and nursing students on emerging topics and needs surrounding the culture of health concepts, psychiatric health nursing and diversity within the profession.
Support to provide medical case management for migrant and year round farmworker families who work in the orchards in Lafayette County.
