This project will provide funds to support the creation of a new part-time position supporting Healthy Communities Wyandotte. The part-time communications strategist will create and begin implementing a strategic communications plan to coordinate HCW’s efforts to improve the county’s poor health rankings. The Communications Strategist will oversee this process, guiding HCW’s Communications Action Team to create a plan that will provide direction for HCW communications.

Support for UPGHD to host a series of anti-racism community conversations that seek to both educate and learn from community residents about how racism impacts the Wyandotte County community.

Support to continue the VISTA program which provides five VISTA volunteers that will be deployed throughout the Health Department to work on various health programming.
