REACH Healthcare Foundation is excited to introduce Andrea Perdomo-Morales as its new Program Officer. Perdomo-Morales will be responsible for supporting the Foundation’s work to advance health equity through coverage and care for underserved people in our region. She will support the program team’s grantmaking strategies and engage with the community to identify opportunities to advance our mission.
Perdomo-Morales brings a wealth of experience to the Foundation, most recently serving as the Chief Health Equity Officer at Vibrant Health. She has also led the Communities Concerned for Immigrants and Refugees (CCIR) initiative for six years. CCIR is a program seeded by REACH to provide a network of healthcare and social service providers and community members serving and celebrating individuals entering the Greater Kansas City area.
“Andrea’s exceptional leadership and her extensive community network leave us with no doubt that she will be a valuable addition to the Foundation. Her contributions will significantly enhance our ability to deliver innovative funding approaches to nonprofit organizations within our coverage area,” said Vice President of Programs, Carla Gibson.
Over the years, Perdomo-Morales has dedicated her career to advancing health equity. She has led numerous initiatives to connect resources and mobilize partnerships designed to provide culturally appropriate physical and behavioral healthcare, mental health, and social services to residents across Kansas and Missouri.
“I’m honored to join the REACH team. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with REACH in my work within the nonprofit sector. In this new role, I am excited to build on the health equity work I’ve been involved in and to continue working alongside a dedicated team making meaningful strides toward addressing inequities in healthcare,” said Perdomo-Morales.
Perdomo-Morales has over two decades of social work experience, improving under-resourced and underserved populations. She is a proud first-generation Latina and the first college graduate in her family, holding a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas. Born in Guatemala, she currently resides in Wyandotte County with her family.
