Turner House Children’s Clinic, a pediatric safety net clinic in Wyandotte County, Kansas, has achieved recognition by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, the highest level of recognition. Turner House is one of seven Kansas City metropolitan area safety net clinics currently participating in the REACH Foundation’s Medical Home Initiative, and the fifth clinic in that group to obtain NCQA recognition for meeting key components of a medical home.

The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that emphasizes care coordination, patient communications and engagement, and team-based care, along with continuous measurement of clinical outcomes and patient experience.
