Theresa Reyes-Cummings is Director of Program Development for the Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund. Her work in performance improvement, grant management, and community development from a payer’s perspective support the delivery of mental health care to 16,000 uninsured Jackson County residents each year through over 40 provider contracts.
Reyes-Cummings has 25 years of experience in justice programs, non-profit management and public administration. Some of her specialties include cultural competency, implementing electronic records systems in community-based mental health agencies, network alignment with homeless services and benefits enrollment.
Previously, she has served as a performance management consultant, addiction recovery specialist and serving as a proposal reviewer for the HHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA). Theresa’s community involvement includes non-profit boards, fundraising and volunteering as a community advocate for social justice issues.
