Jerrihlyn L. McGee, D.N.P., R.N., C.N.E., is the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer for KU Medical Center. She is also a nurse and clinical associate professor in the KU School of Nursing. McGee has led sustainable change by helping improve patient outcomes, increasing staff and physician satisfaction scores, and through course and program development. Her scholarly works have focused on diversity, civility, healthy work environment, cultural competency, emotional intelligence, mentoring and health and educational equity. McGee works within the Greater Kansas City area community to coordinate and participate in community health events, as well as to lead professional development initiatives. She is listed as an author in the 2019 State of Black Kansas City report, as well as other published articles, and has presented both locally and nationally on issues addressing diversity, fostering equitable and inclusive learning and working environments, leadership, unconscious bias and systemic racism. McGee is a resident of Wyandotte County, KS.
