
Randy Lopez is a Migrant Community Liaison for Shawnee Mission School District. Lopez works closely with students and families to identify, develop, schedule and monitor community and school services that are needed to benefit the student and family. He seeks to enhance the quality of education and community resources students and their families need to be successful within our community. His work brings a holistic approach to both academic and social success for our students and community. Lopez has over 10 years experience in health care, education and community organizing.
Lopez is also President of the Young Latino Professionals which provides professional and personal development, community and civic service opportunities for its members to create a pool of future Latino leaders for the Kansas City area.
Lopez received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish both from Rockhurst University. He was selected into the National Urban Fellows Program in New York City where he received a Master of Public Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College. Lopez also spent time in Princeton, NJ serving as a fellow with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
