Chad Moore is Director of Operations for Children’s Mercy Pediatric Care Network (CMPCN), which is an integrated pediatric network that coordinates the medical care of pediatric patients in the Greater Kansas City Area and who are enrolled in various managed care organizations. CMPCN is a fully owned subsidiary of Children’s Mercy Hospital & Clinics. Moore monitors federal and state policies and regulatory activities relating to healthcare and health insurance for vulnerable populations. He meets with legislators and their staffs in Topeka, Jefferson City and Washington, D.C., prepares testimony, and represents CMPCN’s interests with policy makers and health care insurers. He is also responsible for communications, marketing and business development strategies for CMPCN.
Prior to joining Children’s Mercy, Moore worked as a corporate compliance manager for a large, publicly traded Medicaid managed care organization in St Louis, Missouri. He was also in private practice at a law firm in St. Louis where he specialized in corporate and regulatory law for health care organizations. Before entering law school, Moore served as a legislative aide to State Senator Ted House in Jefferson City for two legislative sessions.
Moore received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Truman State University as well as his Master of Health Administration degree and Juris Doctorate degree (with a Health Law Certificate) from Saint Louis University. Moore lives in South Kansas City with his wife and two sons.
