Brenda Bohaty, D.D.S., is a Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and an active staff member and attending dentist at the Children’s Mercy Hospital Dental Clinic.
Because of her experiences in working with children with serious oral health issues, Bohaty was invited to serve on the Steering Committee for Project Ready Smile, a children’s oral health initiative co-funded by the REACH Foundation and the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City. She provided significant leadership and guidance on the development of the initiative, which is focused on preventive care for children ages birth to six.
She completed her Doctor of Dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and obtained a certificate and Master’s of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry. She is a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and received an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in the areas of Oral Biology and Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
