These grants support public policy and advocacy activities that address health care quality and access.
As of March 15, 2012, the Foundation is placing a hold on new requests for capacity grants, advocacy grants and CEO discretionary grants due to a large number of requests already under review. New requests may be considered in the fall should any discretionary funding remain. If you have a proposal in process, please contact a program officer to determine if your application will be considered at this time.
These grants support public policy and advocacy activities that address health care quality and access. The Foundation is particularly interested in policy and advocacy efforts that educate and engage consumers, support implementation of the Affordable Care Act, streamline CHIP and Medicaid eligibility processes, enhance Medicaid reimbursement for services (including oral health and mental health), and evaluate alternative health provider models that result in improved access to health care.
Grants may be used for planning efforts, research, focus groups, convenings, lobbying, and outreach and education to consumers and policy leaders. Funded activities must be carried out in the Foundation’s geographic service area.
Organizations must contact the President and CEO before submitting an application.
