As of March 15, 2012, the Foundation is placing a hold on new requests for capacity grants, advocacy grants and CEO discretionary grants due to a large number of requests already under review. New requests may be considered in the fall should any discretionary funding remain. If you have a proposal in process, please contact a program officer to determine if your application will be considered at this time.
Discretionary grants are intended to support defined short-term projects and needs. These grants may be used to support conference and convening costs, surveys/data collection, technical assistance projects and nonprofit leadership development programs. Discretionary grants will not support general operating support, reimbursement for uncompensated care or direct care costs, staff travel to meetings or conferences or contributions to capital or other campaigns.
